Early Years Information

PLAYGROUP

We provide a stimulating learning environment for children aged 2 years 10 months to 4 years. We follow the full Department of Education Curriculum, which develops the six areas of a child’s learning:
• The Arts
• Language and Literacy
• Early Maths
• Personal Social and Emotional development
• Physical development and Movement
• The World Around Us
By following the full Department of Education curriculum, which is the same as Nursery Schools, it ensures the children reach their full potential in all areas of learning. We are inspected annually by Social Services’, ensuring the plans and curriculum reaches their high standard and we continue to develop and promote good practice within our setting.
We at Oasis believe every child is unique, and that every child matters. We have a strong multicultural element to the Playgroup and have children from a variety of cultures.
It is important that we encourage children to embrace their differences, and it is our aim that the children leave Oasis feeling confident, motivated and aware of others.
Staff at Oasis playgroup follow a full in depth curriculum, which focuses on learning through play and are inspected annually by Social Services, ensuring we work to a high standard.
