Eat Etc
Situated on the Belmont Road, Eat Etc offers a unique variety of homemade cakes, scones and other freshly baked items, all made on the premises, together with an extensive lunchtime menu. From the outset, Eat Etc placed a distinctive emphasis on sourcing fairly traded, organic and as far as possible local ingredients. These standards continue as we now go into our third year. The friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes Eat Etc a popular choice for local residents, students, families as well as nearby businesses and organisations. Many of our customers enjoy the opportunity to call in for a morning coffee or breakfast on their way to work. For those with a more sophisticated coffee taste, the selection of speciality coffees on offer has been particularly popular. We hope that our third year of trading will see Eat Etc become a valuable revenue generator for the work of Oasis, providing much needed financial resources for the organisation’s community development projects.
Eat Etc will be open from 9am - 10pm Wednesday to Friday & Saturday - Tuesday 9am - 6pm

Oasis Café
Located on the ground floor of the Oasis Centre in Castlereagh Street, the coffee shop is currently open Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm. The coffee shop operates an outside catering service which has grown in popularity over the past year. Being able to offer food & beverage facilities within the Centre has provided the organisation itself with an excellent facility to connect with its members, funders, volunteers & partners, strengthening & fostering relationships and thereby increasing the impact it has in the local community. Many visitors to the Oasis Centre stay longer, exploring the services that are available and the areas Oasis works in. It also serves to attract more people into the Centre; we continue to see new faces everyday, many of whom remark on how pleasantly surprised they are by the coffee shop surroundings.
As well as offering catering facilities, the café serves as a training ground for volunteers and provides a social focus for the local community. It has also benefited from the increasing number of organisations hiring rooms at the Centre – many returning to make repeat bookings due to the quality of catering facilities available. We hope that the Oasis Coffee Shop will continue develop its services whilst growing the skills & experience of its staff & volunteers.

Social Housing
Much of the housing in Inner East Belfast is of poor quality with limited opportunities for rental. In response to this, Oasis initiated a social housing business with the aim of refurbishing local properties which are then rented at a reasonable cost to tenants. Oasis Housing has purchased a total of 8 houses and manages a further 2 properties for clients. In addition to being a sound investment, the properties also provide a small income stream that helps support the work of Oasis.
